Who is Roshtein?

Roshtein is a Swedish-born streamer who began broadcasting slots on Twitch in 2016, when casino streaming was a small corner of the site. He grew with the category. In June 2021 he was the most-watched slots streamer on Twitch, and over the 30 days to 31 July 2021 his was the fifth-largest Twitch channel in the world by hours watched. His Twitch audience peaked at 84,977 concurrent viewers on 13 September 2021.

After Twitch restricted unlicensed gambling sites in October 2022, he briefly switched to World Cup sports betting and then moved to Kick, where he marked two years in November 2024. He celebrated ten years of streaming on 20 February 2026. By then, according to his own site, he had completed 2,403 streams and 18,789 hours live.

He keeps his private life off stream. His real name and date of birth come from third-party profiles, not from him, and sources disagree on where he lives.

His own site, roshtein.com, lists casino bonuses and runs raffles, missions and a cashback scheme called Roshback for Stake players who sign up through him. It also promotes Stake.us and several sweepstakes casinos to US visitors.

His stakes have grown with the sponsorship. VegasSlotsOnline puts his typical bets at $50 to $200 a spin in 2019 and 2020, up to $1,500 in 2021 and 2022, and $5,000 to $10,000 in 2024 and 2025.

  • October 2021: a $7.5 million loss on stream, cited by VegasSlotsOnline without further detail.

Favourite slots and games

His site published ten years of streaming data in February 2026. The slots he has streamed most, by hours, are:

By provider he has spent 4,119 hours on Pragmatic Play slots, 2,831 on Hacksaw Gaming and 1,007 on Play’n GO. Earlier favourites include Book of Dead, Jammin’ Jars and Dead or Alive 2. Between slot sessions he plays roulette, blackjack, Plinko and Keno.

His site credits him with creating the bonus hunt, the format in which a streamer collects bonus rounds on many slots and opens them all at the end. That is his own claim, though he is certainly the streamer most associated with it.

Giveaways and awards

  • His site says he has given $9.5 million to his community over ten years.
  • A $400,000 anniversary raffle in March 2026 offered 20 prizes of $20,000 to viewers with a verified Stake account registered under his code.
  • He won Most Watched Streamer at the first Online Gambling Streamers Awards in 2024 and three awards at the Scatters Club Streamers Awards 2025.

Controversies and criticism

The main controversy around Roshtein is the claim that he does not play with his own money. These are allegations, and none has been proven.

  • June 2024: after the $28.5 million win, Trainwreckstv alleged that Roshtein has an “infinite balance, capped withdrawal” arrangement with Stake and accused him of viewbotting. He offered no evidence beyond his own account.
  • October 2024: Trainwreckstv said the $24 million Brute Force win was missing from Nolimit City’s leaderboard. Roshtein later showed the entry on stream and said some wins need approval before they appear.
  • July 2025: after the $45.4 million win, another streamer alleged that his funds cannot be withdrawn, again without evidence.
  • November 2025: a clip showing a deposit bonus message on his Stake account was shared as proof of a fake balance. Others pointed out that a small prize drop triggers the same message. Neither Roshtein nor Stake commented.

Roshtein has consistently denied misleading viewers and says he uses his own money, according to VegasSlotsOnline, although he did not respond publicly to the 2025 claims. He has also been criticised for staying silent about the terms of his Stake deal. Our gambling streamers guide explains how sponsored balances work and why they matter to viewers.
